Arthur B. Turner
Arthur B. Turner, 98, heard the call to come home on February 15, 2007. He was born August 2, 1908 in McKaysville, Georgia to Lee and Nora Turner. He was preceded in death by son, Bobby in 1992 and beloved wife, Ruby, his jewel for 66 years in 1998. He enjoyed 37 years of retirement from Adamson United Machine Co. and spent many happy times at his retirement home in Georgia. He was our family "Mr. Fix-It" and loved giving help and advise on anything from plumbing to gardening. It seemed there was nothing he couldn't do. A longtime member of the East Market St. Church of God, he instilled in his family a great faith. He loved God and trusted Him all the way to the finish line. He leaves to cherish his memory: daughters, Betty Monaghan and Jacqueline (Glenn) Ferguson; sons, Billy (Deniece) Turner and David Turner. He will also be missed by his 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. He also leaves special friend, Dot Wilkinson and a host of family and friends. Family and friends may call Sunday from 5 - 8 p.m. and Monday from 12 - 1 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will begin Monday at 1 p.m. with his son, David Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. The family wishes to extend their thanks to Hospice of Summa for their loving care and kindness. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Summa, 444 N.
