Barbara Albrecht

Barbara A. Albrecht, 65, resident of Akron, went to be with her Lord on Monday, October 29, 2012 at Akron City Hospital. She was born on February 2, 1947 in Lodi, OH to her mother, Donna Nash. Barb was a devoted member at Williard United Church of Christ where she worked as a secretary for over 30 years and was a Sunday School teacher and choir member.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Albrecht; brother, Mark Steinmetz; and step-father, Lester Nash. Barb is survived by her son, Brian (Stacey) Albrecht; mother, Donna Nash; grandchildren, Haley and Scott Albrecht; sisters, Beverly Steinmetz, Rene (Hugh) Rutan, and Lori (Charles) Groves; sister-in-law, Barb Steinmetz; many nieces, nephews, relatives, and her church family.

A funeral service will be 10:00 am on Friday, Nov 02, 2012 at Williard United Church of Christ, 742 Johnston St, Akron, OH 44306. Pastor Darlene Garber will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Nov 01, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305.
