Barbara Ann Baglia

Barbara Ann Baglia, 66, of Akron, passed away suddenly on July 22, 2020. Barbara was born in Akron on June 3, 1954 to the late Herbert and Florence Benson. Barbara loved thrift shopping and had a great eye for secondhand items. She had a wide circle of friends and enjoyed meeting with them for morning Diet Coke at McDonald's. She always brought along popcorn to feed the birds outside the restaurant. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her friends and family meant everything to her. Barbara is survived by her children, Jill (Thomas) Chadima, Charles (Stephanie) Baglia, and Benjamin (April Stiles) Baglia; brother, Gary (Darlene) Benson; sisters, Linda Tubbs, Sue Arney, and Carol Beland; grandchildren, Matthew and Luc Chadima, Brock Zahler, Spencer, Pacen, and Prue Baglia, and Benjamin and Zachary Baglia; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 27, 2020 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 31, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2580 Berne St., Akron.
