Barbara Ruth Cirullo, age 65, of Tallmadge, passed away suddenly April 20th, 2019 at her childhood home. Barb was born January 18, 1954, in Akron to the late Guy Sr. and Betty Cirullo.
She had a heart of gold and was always there when you needed her. She never hesitated to drop what she was doing to help out a friend in need or give someone a ride. Barb enjoyed playing with her dog Tyson, trips to the beach, swimming and working on her amazing tan. Most importantly she treasured the time spent with her granddaughters, Iylie and Jaycee, whom she absolutely adored. She could often be found with a car full of kids, singing along with OneDirection or Billy Ray Cyrus, headed to their next adventure.
In 2005, Barb pursued her dream of helping others by graduating from The University of Akron with a degree in Applied Science in Community Services Technology. However, she soon changed her path in life and instead devoted over 20 years as a caregiver to both her parents.
She will be sadly missed!
Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Guy Sr. and Betty Cirullo; brother, Guy Jr. and nephew, Matthew. Left to cherish her memories are her loving daughter, Rochelle (Marc); sister, Lynn Condos; brother, Frank (Cindy) Cirullo; granddaughters, Iylie and Jaycee; nephews, Cory (Danielle), Joshua, and Frankie; nieces, Angela and Sarah Lena; great-nieces, Destiny, Maria and Taegan; great-nephew, Brian Matthew; god-daughter, Toni Marie; and special friends, Phyillis, Wendy, Scottie, and Shane.
The family will receive guests Monday, April 29th, 2019 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N Canton Rd, Akron, Ohio, where a Memorial Service will begin at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. Michael Matusz officiating. Immediately following the services, family and friends are invited to gather for A Celebration of Life, at Papa Don's Pub, 1891 E Market Street, Akron, Ohio. Any covered dishes would be greatly appreciated.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Barb's daughter, Rochelle to help her and her daughters get through this difficult time.
