Barbara Jean Davis, "Barb", age 83, went to her final resting place on October 27, 2022, being comforted by family members.
She was born on December 9, 1938 in Akron, the daughter of the late Lester and Louise (nee Browner) Bussey, she was the first child of that union.
As a young girl she became a child of Christ. She worked professionally as a childcare provider for the City of Akron; and she also worked in the Industrial Industry. She loved life, her family and helping others. She had a passion for jigsaw puzzles, Bingo and the casino.
Barb met the love of her life, Willie Davis Sr. and married him in 1957. In that union they had six children, Navada Davis-deceased, Willie Davis Jr., Beverly Davis, Trudy Davis, Tommy (Debra) Davis and Jerry Davis-deceased; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Other than her parents and two children, Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, James Bussey and sister, Sanoy "Bonnie" Bussey.
There will be a celebration of life on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 2:00 PM at 1527 Hillcrest Avenue, Akron, Ohio 44314, where condolences may be sent.
All arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron, Ohio.
