Barbara A. Egleston

Barbara A. Egleston, 84, of Akron, Ohio peacefully returned home on August 1, 2023 and is now in the loving arms of her Heavenly Father, God Almighty. She was born on June 6, 1939, the daughter of the late Michael and Josephine Bodenski of Colver, PA.

Barbara was a devoted Christian spending her years in service to the Lord. She was a faithful member of Faith Family Church for many, many years. She served in the Haven of Rest Ministry, VIP and baking connect groups, neighborhood bible study, and sharing the Word of God with everyone who would listen. Barbie was loved by family, friends and everyone who knew her especially her nephew Brian Bodenski and her best friends from church: Rene, Wanda, Margarita and Jim and the entire Bake-a-Licious baking team at Faith Family Church and so many others.

Barbara was greeted in Heaven by her parents; siblings Theresa, Gabe, and Mark; and 2 beloved sons Larry and Matt.
Barbara is survived by her husband of nearly 20 years, Ralph Egleston; children Tim (Tami) Schirf, Tina Boden, Jeff (Missy) Schirf, and Doug Schirf; she was blessed with 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; step-daughter Chrissy (Mike) Thurston; siblings Denny (Cookie) Bodenski, and Richard (Sylvia) Bodenski; sisters-in-law Pat Bodenski, and Ellen (Don) Hoover; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 8th, from 3:00pm to 4:00pm at Faith Family Church, 8200 Freedom Ave NW., North Canton, door B, where services will be held at 4:00pm with Pastor Jack Pancher officiating.
