Barbara "Barb" Lou Farmer, age 77 of Akron, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on December 1, 2021.
Barb was born on May 15, 1944 in Beauty, Kentucky to John and Mae (Alley) Hobbs. She graduated from Warfield High School in Kentucky in 1961. Barb married the love of her life, Cecil Farmer in 1962 and enjoyed 52 years of marriage. She enjoyed reading the Bible and doing word searches. Barb was an active member of Liberty Free Will Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers, Arthur, Columbus, and Don Hobbs, sisters, Pauline Testerman, Betty Sluss, and Jean Geitgey.
Barb will be deeply missed by her children, Cecil (Melissa) Farmer, Brian (Cheryl) Farmer, Kelli Miller, and Justin Farmer, grandchildren, Andrew (Rebecca) Farmer, Luke (Cheyenne) Farmer, Rebekah (Jake) Copelin, Olivia Miller, Owen Miller, Olexa Miller, Connor Farmer, and Regan Farmer, great grandchild, Ian Farmer, and great grandchild on the way, Baby Copelin.
Friends and family may come to call on Monday, December 6, 2021 from 3-6:30 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home in Akron. A service will follow at 6:30 p.m.
