Barbara Ann Hunter

Barbara Ann Hunter, 64, of Akron, passed away on November 13, 2023. A lifelong resident of Akron, she was born on May 19, 1959 to the late Henry and Daisy {Holloway} Hunter.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her grandson Tyrone J. Ollison, brothers Henry, Lawrence, Terry and Gregory Hunter, sisters-in-law Allison Hunter and Deanne Hunter.

Barbara is survived by her loving daughters Celeste Hunter and Desiree Hunter; grandchildren Tymeon Ollison, Jontia Hunter, Deon Collins, Ty'Aizha Tibbs and Tylan "Big Dog" Tibbs; great-grandson Dreem Pitts; sisters Gladys (Ivery) Washington, Vera Moon and Shelly Slaughter; brother Willie, Jeffrey, Phillip, Hillary (Jennifer), Tyrone (Emeldor) Hunter; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

All are invited to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Friday, November 24th from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral ceremony begins at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow the service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, where Barbara will be laid to rest.
