Barbara Jean Ilg

Barbara Jean Ilg, "Barb", age 78, passed away on October 23, 2017 after a long battle with cancer.
She was born on December 19, 1938 in Akron, the daughter of the late George and Julia (nee Horvath) Stierl.
Other than her parents, Barb was preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah Gruel Ilg; one grandson, Dakota Moore; and her brother, George Stierl.
Barbara leaves her children to cherish her memory, Bill (Donna) Ilg, Julie (Gene) Dye, Diane Finnegan, and Brian (Jennifer) Ilg; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Her siblings also survive, Veronica (Frank) Pesko and David (Pat) Stierl
Our family would like to thank the staff at Bath Creek Estates for the wonderful care of our loved one.
A private graveside burial will take place at Northlawn Memorial Park with her loving family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Seeing Eye, 10 Washington Valley Road, Morristown, NJ 07960.
All arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home-Akron.
