Barbara J. Johnson, 76, of Tallmadge, passed away May 31, 2011. Barbara was born in Akron on July 5, 1934 to the late Joseph and Ruth Finta. She spent many years as a bus driver for Weaver Schools and later worked at Dillos and Walgreens. She was an advocate for the senior citizens residing at Tallmadge Acres. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Johnson, Sr.; and son, Rick Johnson. She will be deeply missed by her children, Vicki (Bob) Conley, Rachelle "Shelly" Johnson and partner Sandy Warner, Russell Johnson, Jr. and partner Romeo Love, and Kerry Johnson; sisters, Donna (Jim) Fioramonte and Virginia (Chuck) DeWitt; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Barbara's life will be held Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Tallmadge Acres Community Center, 429 South Ave., Tallmadge, OH 44278.
