Barbara Jean Cole Heaven gained a tiny angel Tuesday, July 29th and in doing so left a giant hole in our hearts. Nothing can ever replace the sweet, kind, loving soul that she was. Barbie always thought of others first and never hesitated to help someone. She belonged to the Mogadore Moose and V.F.W. Auxiliary where she volunteered many countless hours. So small but such a big influence and friend to those she touched. She leaves behind husband, Jerry; son, Frank (Candy) Christy; grandson, Cody Christy - the light of her life; mother, Ernestine; brother, Herb; sisters, Carol (Burhis) Blankenship and Susie (Joey) Miller; several nieces, nephews and friends; former in-laws, the Christy family. Preceded in death by her father, Herb; sisters, Sharon and Beverly; and niece, Christine. Calling hours will be Friday, August 1 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron Funeral services will be conducted at Grandview Memorial Park, Ravenna on Saturday, August 2 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Simon Blankenship officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Mogadore V.F.W. 8487, 385 Randolph Rd., Mogadore OH 44260.
