Barbara J. Jeter

Barbara J. Jeter, 75, of Akron, went home to be with her Lord on April 19, 2020. Barbara was born in Akron on February 10, 1945 to the late Paul R. and Nina Pauline Seckel. She lived her faith daily, enjoying her morning Bible readings and serving as a prayer warrior for her loved ones. She was a longtime member of Arlington Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed family get togethers, particularly holiday celebrations. She loved to crochet, and many people have a special pair of slippers made by her hands. Barbara will be dearly missed by her children, Paul Jeter Jr. and April (Neil) Harper; sister, Mary (Larry) Spencer; brother, Robert (Linda) Seckel; grandson, Neil (Shelby) Harper Jr.; great-granddaughters, Abigail and Rosie; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. A private service officiated by Pastor Don Davies will be held for Barbara and she will be laid to rest at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
