Barbara Monte

Barbara J. Monte, 75, passed away on August 11, 2005. Barbara was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and had formerly worked for the Yellow Cab Co. for seven years. She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Leone Fitts; her bother Kenneth Fitts; and her loving husband of 48 years, Louis. Survivors include her daughters Leone (Dave) Gindlesperger, Debbie (John) Dovala, Angie (Dan) Bowman, Barbie Allshouse, and Gina Monte; sister Eileen Soccorssi; brother Sam Fitts; grandchildren Sarah, David, Kevin, Danny, and Randle; and nieces Barbara and Judy. Barbara was a devoted wife and mother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family would like to extend special thanks to Hospice of Summa for their care and support. Calling hours will be Monday, 5 to 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Prayers will be held Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Fr. Mike Williamson presiding. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
