Barbara N. Queer

Barbara N. Queer, 83, went to be with the Lord on July 28, 2016. Barbara was born on May 31, 1933 in Chattanooga, TN to the late Homer and Elba Black. Barbara attended Chapel Hill Church. Everyone who knows Barbara would say she left the world a better place. She enjoyed hosting friends and family at big gatherings and she always had an encouraging word for those around her. Barbara loved the Smoky Mountains and traveling with the family in their motor home. She was an extraordinary cook. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Charles Sr. and sister, Ruth Kavali. Survivors include her sons, Charles "Richard" (Patti), Mitch (Diana), and David (Jodi); daughter, Keeli (Jim) Strub; grandchildren, Michelle, Ryan, Jessica, Mariah, Hali, Ashli, Bayli, Kyli, Brooke, and Rachael; great-grandsons, Ethan, Hayden, and Brody; and sister, Joyce Ballard. Calling hours will be on Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 3-6 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Church, 1160 Howe Ave., Cuyahoga Falls. Interment at Tallmadge Cemetery.
