Barbara Ravenscroft

Barbara D. Ravenscroft, 83, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on December 3, 2024 at Mulberry Gardens Assisted Living. She was born on June 3, 1941 the daughter of the late William and Ida (nee File) Kobling. Barbara was a woman of faith and devoted wife to James (Jim) Ravenscroft for 38 years. She enjoyed music, and in her early years she sang in the choir. While living in Nashville, TN she was delighted when she got to go back stage, meeting country music legends such as Vince Gill and Johnny Cash, at some of the concerts there. Later in life she enjoyed traveling, visiting Europe where she traveled to Paris, France with her son, William. Barbara treasured her friendships which would grow with many shared memories. Some of these friendships even would date back to her Kindergarten days. She will always be remembered for being the "Bingo Queen", believing in Retail Therapy, and her love of her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 38 years, James Ravenscroft; and sister Evelyn Thorn. Barbara is survived by her son William A. (Aimee) Kobling; and daughter Suzanne Bates; and many nieces, nephews and friends. 

Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec 11th from 3:00 to 4:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, 44305) where memorial services will be held at 4:00pm with Pastor Stephen Neumeyer Officiating.
