Barbara Jean Rice

Barbara Jean Rice, 71, of Mogadore, passed away on July 5, 2024. She was born in Akron on June 26, 1953 to the late Ernest and Doris {Ingold} Backus.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Darrell V. Rice.

Barbara is survived by her loving twins Jason Gooden and Jessica Neckar; grandson Nate Neckar; sister Bev Owens; nephew Jeffrey Owens.

Barbara worked as a nurse for over 40 years, and spent the last 25+ years of her career working with Dr. Stephen Heupler. Barbara never met a stranger, and her warm, magnetic personality left a lasting impression on her patients, family and friends.
