Barbara Ann Ullom

Barbara Ann Ullom, "Barb", age 86 of Girard, Ohio, earned her angel wings on Thursday, December 22, 2022, after a long illness.

Barbara Ann was born on March 31, 1936 in Blooming Valley, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Dale B. and Bertha L. (nee McLaughlin-Ford) Hart.

Barb retired from the Fowler-Vienna School district in 1998, after thirty years of dedicated service at Mathews High School, where she held the position of High School Secretary/Admin.

She leaves behind her loving and devoted son, John D. Ullom, who cared for her throughout her illness; her granddaughter, Allie Angelo; her great-grandson and pride and joy of her life, Aaron Sladen; and her former "daughter"-in-law, Cathie Hilston.

Also surviving are her siblings, Nancy Daum, Linda (Paul) Hart-Hyde, Russell Hart and Robert (Heather) Hart. Also mourning her loss are many nieces, nephews and their families and other numerous loved ones, including Bob Cavender, who was like a son to her; and a host of "kids" that she looked after at school and beyond.

Other than her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur J. Ullom on November 8, 1989, they were united in marriage on June 19, 1959; and her brother-in-law, Charles Daum.

Barbara Ann loved her "Family", no matter what walk of life or stature in this world. There was no stranger to her, but only a chance to exercise compassion and kindness.

Funeral services will be held at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, 533 North Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio 44481, on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 2:00 PM, where Pastor Jim Dittmar will celebrate Barbara's life.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.

Following all services Barbara will be cremated.
