Barbara A. Wittensoldner

December 21, 1934 — December 31, 2021

Barbara A. {Bowman-Vass} Wittensoldner, 87 of Akron, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on December 31, 2021. She passed away peacefully in her home after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Barbara was born December 21, 1934 in Carroll County, VA.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wittensoldner; daughter Bonnie Sue Wright; parents Paul Jones Bowman and Mittie L. {Coulson} Bowman; siblings Everett Bowman, Paul Jones Bowman, Jr., Darrell (Ruth) Bowman, Donald Bowman and Thelma Bunn.

Barbara is survived by the two men who were the absolute center of her world, grandsons Robert (Tonia) Wright and David (La Tea) Wright; great-grandsons Jaret (Sammi) Wright and Austin Wright; step- great-grandkids Kylie Moynihan, Craig (Raquel) Moynihan, Trisha Moynihan, Brittany Sanders, Zack Wood, La Kayla Wheeler and Dominick Wheeler; siblings Charles (Reva) Bowman, JD (Elza) Bowman, Elder Ronald Bowman, Bernard (Judy) Bowman, Velda Jones and Margie (Clifford) Byrd; sister-in-law Betty Ruth Bowman; 7 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Barbara was a 1952 graduate of Woodlawn High School in VA. Shortly after high school she moved to Ohio. She retired from Olson's Electronics in 1985, without missing a day of work.

Barbara was the most honest, caring, giving and loyal soul the Lord blessed this earth with. In her family's eyes, she was perfect, but always humble. She enjoyed spending time with her family as often as possible. She loved traveling back home to Carroll County, VA to visit her loved ones. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, attending church, cooking, baking and square dancing.

The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Trisha Moynihan and Chelsie Soberon, who spent the last two and a half years giving Grandma Bobbie the best care she could have received. She was loved every single day. She was able to stay at home, just as she wished, and received the care and love that she deserved. Trisha and Chelsie, you are so important to our family! We are so grateful for the wonderful care you gave to Grandma and how you have helped to make her days brighter and to provide her with constant care.
