Barry Lee Sipe, Sr.
Barry Lee Sipe, Sr., 58, of Akron passed away July 28, 2011. Barry was born December 3, 1952 in York, Pennsylvania. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from Harwood Rubber after 35 years. He was a simple man with a generous personality and will be missed by all who knew him. Barry was preceded in death by his father Glen; mother Roseada; and siblings Junie, Dale, Bob, and Betty. He is survived by his children Brian, Barry Jr., Melissa, and Benjamin and their mother, Martha Sipe; twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild; his companion for 16 years Joann Troxell and her six children and nine grandchildren; sisters Grace, Carol, Jean, Joan, and Barb; stepfather Smitty; numerous nieces and nephews; and longtime friend Eddie Dalrymple and his family. Visitation will be Monday from 6-9 p.m. with a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to www.stupidcancer.com/donate.
