Barry R. Melton, 46, passed into God's arms on April 14, 2011. He was an avid fisherman, loving nature. Barry provided for his family by working 12 hour shifts at Diversified Engraving for 20 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly E. Gisbrecht. Barry is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Patricia; children, Dawn (William) Morgan, Eric Melton, and Patrick Melton; 3 grandchildren; father, James (Rita) Gisbrecht; 4 brothers; 2 sisters; and many other loving family and friends. A memorial gathering will be held Wednesday, April 20, from 5 to 5:45 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with a service to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Akron.
