Barry Wayne Pruitt, Sr., 54, went to be with our Lord suddenly on Tuesday, March 16, 2010. Born in Akron, OH on October 8, 1955. Barry is preceded in death by his father, William Henry Pruitt; brothers, Donnie and Ray; sister, Brenda Benz Azar; and his beloved dog, Rocky. He is survived by his son, Barry Wayne Pruitt, Jr. (Angela); the light of his life, his grandson, Kasey; loving mother, Irene Arlene Pruitt, of Cuyahoga Falls; his sister, Shirley Halliday (Gregory), of Massachusetts; brothers, Edward Fletcher (Shirley), of Canal Fulton, Larry Pruitt (Tammy), of Clearwater, FL, and James Hess (Christine), of Shelbyville, TN; his former wife and friend, Tina Pruitt, of Akron; many beloved nieces, nephews, friends; and his best friend Bronson. The family will receive friends TODAY, 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Graveside service Friday, 11 a.m. at Hillside Memorial Park, 1025 Canton Rd., Akron.
