Baskel K. Klepper, 76, of Mogadore, passed away September 26, 2006. Baskel completed U.S. Marine boot camp and later served two years in the U.S. Army. He retired from Harwick Chemical Corporation in 1987 and was a volunteer for the Suffield Fire Department for 25 years. He was a member of the Cornerstone Free Methodist Church for 15 years. Baskel was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, traveling, and gardening. He was devoted to his wife and children. Above all, he had a strong relationship with God and shared his faith with others. Baskel was preceded in death by two infant daughters; son, Roger Klepper; and daughter, Susan Seese. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 56 years, Dolores; children, Michael Klepper, Gail (Terry) Savanich, and Roy (Stephanie) Klepper; sisters, Delores (Eugene) Sheldon, Gladys (Louis) Nicolard, Janet Steele, and Bernice (Webb) Bittinger; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Brenda Young officiating.
