Beatrice C. Ripple

Beatrice C. Ripple (Bittner), 100, passed away on August 26, 2011.
The daughter of Anton and Celia Bittner, she was born on October 24, 1910 in Akron, Ohio.
Over the years, Bea served in many ways at Ellet Grace Brethren Church. She was President of WMC serving at both the local and district level. She was Assistant Church Treasurer, Superintendent of the Primary Department for 43 years and Director of Vacation Bible School for many years. But most of all, Bea loved doing dishes. Seriously though,Her greatest love was the Lord and His Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George; daughter-in-law, Barbara Ripple; brother and sister-in-law, Bernie and Berna Bittner,
She is survived by her son, Eugene; daughter, Kathleen (George) MacDonald; grandchildren, Heather, Jeff, Sherrie, Jim (Joanna); great-grandchildren, Jason, Ashley, Daniel and Anna Jo; great-great-grandchildren, Kylee, Brianna; special gratitude to Heather and Sherrie for their time and loving care of their grandmother.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday, August 31 from 11 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. at NEWCOMER with Pastor Homer Burket officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
