Ben W. Savage Jr.
January 7, 1943 — March 16, 2017
Ben W. Savage Jr., 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved-ones on March 16, 2017. He worked at Firestone Tire until an injury in 1974. Since then he was lovingly taken care of at home by his son, Benny, with the help of special nurses, Janet Wells and Carman Wiggins. Ben is preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Mary Savage, and brother, Karl. He is survived by his children, Ben Savage III, Robert Ohlson, and Alicia Savage of Colorado; close friend, Deborah Moles; and sister, Sandra Conti, who gave him the nickname "Geegee."
Family will welcome guests for a memorial service to be held Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 8:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with visitation from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
