Bennie Hazelett Sr.

Bennie Hazelett Sr., best body man and painter, peacefully passed away on November 24, 2017at the age of 77. He was born in Akron on July 2, 1940 to late parents, Auda and Mary Hazelett. Bennie is survived by his sons, Ben Jr. (Vicki), Timothy, Richard and Mark (Jane); sister, Wanda Fitzhugh; longtime girlfriend, Eileen Mitchell; numerous grandchildren and cousins; and lifelong friend and employer Chuck Lewis. He is preceded in death by brothers, Homer and James, and sister, Betty Huffman.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service will take place at 2:00 pm. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park, Akron to follow. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to a charity of your choice.
