Bernie G. Balit

Bernard Georges Balit, 49, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on August 10, 2024. He was born in Lebanon on October 5, 1974 to Georges and Mona {Chebli} Balit. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Nelly and Adib Chebli and Zaki and Sarah Balit, mother-in-law Judy Farrar and godfather George Haddad.

Bernie is survived by his wife of 28 years, Barb; his child-his hayete; parents Georges and Mona; brother Ronald (Rose) Balit; sister Sarah (Dory Jade) Balit; godmother and aunt Najat Chebli; father-in-law Jim Farrar; brother-in-law Tim (Jen) Farrar; his beloved nieces and nephews Luca, TJ, Maria Clara, Mikey, Maria and Baylee. 

Bernie worked as a middleware engineer for Westfield Insurance for over 20 years, and cherished the relationships he had with his work friends. He was a big nerd at heart, and loved the Star Wars franchise, collecting and building Lego sets, and Disney's Stitch. 

Bernie's family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of the 5400 Oncology floor at Akron General Medical Center for their compassionate care and support during Bernie's journey.
