Bernard E. Springston
Bernard E. Springston, 83, of Akron, passed away February 14, 2007. Bernard proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II and later retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian; parents, Ralph and Addie; and sisters, Madeline and Ethel. He will be deeply missed by his daughters, Sharyn Springston of Akron, Bonnie Paugh of Akron, Debra (Mike) Woolum of Parma, and Jennifer Reed of Atwater; son, Bernard J. Springston of Akron; sister, Evelyn Tambling of Akron; brothers, Ronald Springston and Ralph Springston, both of Akron; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
