Bernard A. White

Bernard Alan White, 86, he was born on September 25, 1935 and passed away on July 6, 2022. Beloved husband of Rose Marie (nee Capotosto) and devoted father of Alan, Mary Fletcher (David), Bernadette (deceased), John, Kevin (Jodi), Karen Mariola (Mario), Christina Fleming (Todd), Michael, Shannon, David, Timothy (Jennifer), and Brian. Proud Grandfather of Daniel (Kami), Peter, Luke, Nicole, Kathleen, Michael (Shannon), Brittany (Dana), Christina, Holly, Angelo, Nicholas (Colleen), Dana (William), Kara, Jessie (Rachael), Allison, William, Alexander, Norah, and Isla. Great-Grandfather of Kyleena, Daelynn, Benjamin, and William. Bernard was the son of Hollie and Helen White of Akron and the brother of William (Donna), Robert (Ida), Dick (Patty), Gerald, and Carol McClellan (Richard), and uncle to many.

Bernard "Bernie" was a man of faith, an active parishioner of St. Joes Catholic Church. He worked as a tileman until retirement where he then enjoyed making wood furniture and other beautiful pieces. He was full of dry humor and always had a new joke to tell. Most of all he loved and cared for his 12 children and wife of 65 years, Rose: "The first time I saw you I knew I loved you."

The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, JULY 14, 2022 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 11am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2643 Waterloo Rd, Mogadore, OH 44260.
