Bernie Zuchowski, age 63, passed away after a courageous fight with colorectal cancer on April 3rd, 2022. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend to many.
He was born on August 8th, 1958 to Bernard and Betty Zuchowski in Amherst, Ohio. He lived the majority of his life in the Akron area and ran his own construction company. He was known to turn just about anything into a work of art, even some wood pallets, if he put his mind to it. The lyrics to Frank Sinatras "My Way" described him perfectly.
Though you may have known him in his "dark days", those are the days that made him into the man we loved to remember. Bernie may have been ornery, mischievous, and a lot of times up to no good, but he was full of love. More than anything, there was always love in Daddy's hands.
Bernie was preceded in death by his father Bernard, brother Tony Zuchowski, brother-in-law Bob King, several extended family members and friends.
Bernie will be dearly missed by his mother Betty Zuchowski; children Candie and Bernie Zuchowski, Crystal (Kyle) {Zuchowski} Smith and Sarah Zuchowski; sisters Judy King and Barb Tanner; brother Dave Zuchowski; sister-in-law Ruth Zuchowski; grandchildren Mariah, Selena and Katie Rodriguez, Jack Starcher, Kyle, Reese and Elijah Smith; life-long friend Mary Zuchowski; best friend Rich Berritics; many other friends and family.
