Bert G. Ball, 74, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2005. He was born January 12, 1931. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elsie & Ted Ball; sisters, Sally Ball, Marilyn Stoyanov, Sandra Bennett and Norma Demarco. Bert is survived by his wife of 50 years, Irene Ball; children, Kerry Ball, Kevin (Linda) Ball, Timothy (Debbie) Ball and Tiffany Ball; 9 grandchildren. Enlisted at age 17,he served for 5 years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He and his wife served as foster parents for 25 years in Summit County and he was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Bert was a long time employee of Akron Electrotype and was a devoted and loving husband and father. A memorial mass will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the mass begins. Memorial contributions may be made to Queen of Heaven Catholic Church Building Fund or the charity of one's choice.
