Bertha J. Fisher (Nan)
Nan, 83, passed away on October 28, 2008. Born in Oklahoma, she moved to Akron as a young girl. She was proud to have worked like "Rosie the Riveter" during World War II. While waiting tables at the O'Neils Tea Room she made many life long friends as she did everywhere she went. She loved to travel and spent many winters in Florida. Nan will be missed by loving friends and family. Nan was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Fisher; parents, Angelo and Bertha DeJacimo; brothers, Pete and John DeJacimo; and stepson, Thomas Fisher. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Fisher (Brenda); stepdaughter, Joan Murphy; sister, Marie Korba; step-granddaughter, Angela; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on Friday from 5-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
