Bessie M. Wilhite, "A light in the World", 94, went home to be with the Lord on March 8, 2008. She was born May 21, 1913. Bessie retired from Akron General Medical Center. She was a member of Akron Baptist Temple for many years and most recently attended Arlington Memorial Baptist Church. While at church she enjoyed serving in the nursery, especially telling Bible stories and teaching the children about the Bible. She will be remembered by many as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Maudie Nestor; husband Claude Wilhite; son in law Ronnie Arfons. Bessie is survived by her daughter Patty Arfons; sons Dale E (Pearl) and James (Carol) Kipple; grandchildren Ronnie, Sean, Tammy, Bryan; many great grandchildren; sister Opal Ware. Funeral services will be held at Grandview Memorial Park, 5400 Lakewood Road, Ravenna, Ohio 44266 on Wednesday March 12 at 11AM.
