Bethany Renee Candle

August 5, 2020 — December 19, 2020

Bethany Renee Candle, 32, ascended to heaven on December 19, 2020 due to complications from Covid-19. Born in Ravenna, Ohio on August 5, 1988 to Renee Hysell and Scott Candle. She lived in Charlestown Township and graduated from Southeast High School.

Bethany battled health issues most of her life and met them with her head held high. She never complained nor wanted sympathy as she once said "What Good Would It Do". We were always so proud of her strength and determination.

She leaves behind to celebrate her life her mother and step-father, Renee and Kyle Hysell; father, Scott Candle; sister, Macie Hysell; grandparents, Linda and Kris Grund; the families of Uncle Matthew and Aunt Robin and Ashley Davis; Uncle Mark and Aunt Bonnie Candle, Uncle Kirk and Aunt Debbie Candle, Uncle Craig and Aunt Paula Candle, Uncle Kevin and Aunt Laurie Hysell; the families of her Great Uncles and Aunts, Denny and Becky Bartholomew, Denny and Carol Gatchel, Dave and Ruth Davis, Karen Bradfield, Cliff Grund; numerous cousins, relatives and loving friends, Jessica Moore and family, Phil Wroblewski and family.

Bethany was preceded in death by Grandparents, Dick and Carroll Candle, Kenny and Joyce Hysell; cousin, Michelle Candle; Great Grandparents, Dan and Marge Bartholomew, Chuck and Mary Minick, Earl and Pauline Grund,; Great Uncle, Danny Bartholomew and Bob Bradfield.

The family would like to thank all of her (and there are many) doctors and nurses that showed her compassion and love in their efforts to help her over the years and also the entire T-3 team at Summa Hospital.

Calling hours will be held at New Horizons Christian Church, 290 Darrow Rd., Akron on Saturday, January 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a service by Pastor Jim Bane following.

As masks are required and social distancing will be followed, if you are not comfortable attending, the family understands completely and your thoughts and prayers will be felt. Safety is of utmost importance!

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made in Bethany's name to Camp Ho Mita Koda (a summer camp for diabetic children that Bethany attended for many years), 14040 Auburn Rd., Newbury Township, Ohio 44065.
