Bette L. Floto, 86, of Copley, passed away January 21, 2011. She was born in Akron on August 16, 1924 to the late Paul and Opal Carr. She graduated from West High School in 1942. Bette lived in Columbus for many years and worked for numerous physicians there. She and her husband, Bernard moved to Florida in the mid-1970s. They owned a Wendy's franchise in Brevard County and later Bette owned several clothing stores in Melbourne. Everyone loved Aunt Bette and she loved everyone in return. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard; sons, Bruce and Gary; and sister, Jacqueline Brown. She will be deeply missed by her son, Keith (Sheri) Floto; niece, Jinny (Mikie) Wagers; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and close friends, Anita and Pearl. In her later years, Bette was cared for by her nieces, Darlene (Spencer) Woodill, Kathy (Tom) Jackson, and Christine (Rod) Jagos, who will dearly miss her. The family wishes to thank Sumner on Ridgewood Community for such wonderful care and Hospice of VNS. A memorial mass will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church (formerly St. Martha), 300 E. Tallmadge Ave., Akron. Family and friends may gather one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of VNS, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Copley, OH 44333.
