Betty Ann Mcleod

May 6, 1939 — January 26, 2016

Betty Ann McLeod, 76, went home to be with her Lord on January 26, 2016. She was born in Akron, OH to the late Robert and Eileen Erbse. Betty Ann came from a family of three children and she grew up in Wadsworth. She was raised as a Baptist, going to Akron Baptist Temple, where she obtained salvation at a young age. After her high school graduation in 1957 she met her future husband, Ian McLeod, who she married a year later. Betty Ann, who was a wonderful wife and mother, occupied herself by serving others. She was a PTA president, chairwoman of the Christian Women's Club, Girl Scout leader, Vacation Bible School teacher, church pianist, church organist, choir member, and planner for Super Senior activities. She was devoted to the Lord and to her family. She cared for her grandmother and her father for several years. She was greatly loved by all because of her unselfish attitude and her always cheerful character with friends, family and strangers alike. She will be greatly missed by all. Betty Ann was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Erbse. She is survived by husband of 57 years, Ian; son, Brian (Cheryl); daughter, Brenda (Michael) Fargo; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brother Gary (Natalie) Erbse. Family will receive friends on Friday January 29, 2016 from 5-7pm at Millheim Baptist Church 2661 Hayne Rd, Akron 44312 and funeral service will be held Saturday January 30, 2016 at 11am with calling hours one hour preceding at Millheim Baptist Church 2661 Hayne Rd, Akron 44312.
