It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Betty Jean Celetti, who unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2018. Betty was born on August 16, 1937 in Akron, Ohio, daughter of the late Ruby and Willard McClaskey. Betty dedicated her life to loving and caring for her family, and she enjoyed working at McDonalds for the last ten years, where she acquired many good friends, especially her "coffee drinkers."
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her brother, Harold McClaskey and sister, Genevieve Wagner.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 62 years, Dominic Celetti; children, Nick (Cindy) Celetti, Vicki Pillitiere, Angela Wilson and David Celetti; grandchildren, Shane Smith, Kelly (Steve) Paugh, Tony (Jo) Pillitiere, Christina (Paul) Payne, Stephen Pillitiere, Chad (Kristy) Celetti, Bryan Wilson, and Adam (Jen) Wilson; 16 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
The family will welcome guests for visitation from 4-7 pm on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Service, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH, and also from 9-10 am on Monday, March 26, 2018. Immediately following visitation on Monday, the funeral service will take place at 10 am to celebrate Betty's life, also at the funeral home.
