Betty L. Cozart

Betty L. Cozart (nee Carpenter), 82, passed away on March 21, 2021. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Russell Cozart, in December of 2020.
She was born September 2, 1938 in Akron, OH to the late Albert and Geneva Carpenter. She graduated from Garfield High School in 1956.
Betty retired in 2001 after driving school bus for Green Local Schools. She and her husband Russ enjoyed traveling in their fifth wheel, camping at Lake Erie, golfing and bowling. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She also was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Childress.
Betty is survived by her sons; Jeff King (Vicki), Russell Jr., Clay and Todd Cozart; sister, Wanda Maiorano; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Respecting her wishes, a private burial will take place at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank the Colony Health Care Center and Traditions Health Care for taking such good care of our mom. They would also like to thank Karen Wright, her special friend and caregiver, for her outstanding care and support.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society of Summit County, 7996 Darrow Rd., Twinsburg, OH 44087.
