Betty J. Dunford Porter

Betty J. Dunford Porter, 91, of Kent, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2017 after a short illness. Betty was born in Akron, Ohio on February 27, 1926 to the late Clark and Nellie Diehl. She lived in Florida for 26 years, and was an avid golfer. She enjoyed being on FaceBook and always kept the family informed of what the grandkids were up to. Betty also enjoyed playing computer games.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Dunford, Sr., and her second husband, Norm Porter; children, Joseph Jr., and Clark E. Dunford; siblings, Dorothy (Ed) Taylor and Russell Diehl, and two grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, David (Kathy) Dunford and Karen (Dave) Reese; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Family and friends are welcome to attend the graveside service at 1 pm on October 28, 2017 at St. Peter of the Fields Cemetery, 3487 Old Forge Rd., Rootstown, OH 44272.
