Betty Garrett, 73, of Akron, passed away March 7, 2005. Betty loved all outdoor activities, including birdwatching, fishing, swimming, and gardening. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Floyd; daughters, Paula (Tim) Corrick, Patsy (Joe) Shanholtz, and Portia Stover (Jerry Britton); sons, Lonza Stover and Larry Stover; brother, Charles (Eleanor) Moore; stepchildren, Scott (Sheila) Garrett and Mark (Charmaine) Garrett; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty-six great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. followed by a service at 8:00 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd.
