Betty J. Gostlin

Betty J. Gostlin, 71, of Suffield, passed away March 2, 2005 at Akron City Hospital. She was born August 10, 1933 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to the late Virgil & Nora (Hoare) Spidle. Betty spent most of her life in the Suffield/Springfield area and graduated from Springfield High School. She later worked for 26 years at ACME/Click and in her spare time loved to fish, bowl and gamble with her friends and family. Betty loved her grandkids very much. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Don Gostlin of Suffield; daughters, Cindy (Ken) Quesenberry of Suffield and Penny (Mike) Spickard of Springfield; sons, Don (Vicki) of Tallmadge and Dan (Joanne) of Suffield; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Eileen Proudfoot; brothers, Richard (Judy) Spidle and Roy (Sandy) Spidle. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Michael Waters officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Peace Cemetery in Hartville.
