Betty J. Scarborough

Betty J. Scarborough,68, of Akron, passed away on April 11, 2016. Betty was a three time cancer survivor.
She was born in Mobile, Alabama on November 20, 1947 to the late Charlie and Gertrude Stokes. Betty loved life and had many interests. She enjoyed scrapbooking, shopping and collecting Hallmark Christmas ornaments. One of her favorite memories was spent at the beach with her family. Above all, she loved to spoil her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her brother, James Stokes and brother-in-law, Sam Dulabhan. She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Elizabeth (Jim) Smith and Cheryl (Mike) Krumins; fiance, Tom Moore; sisters, Darlene (Dan) Rinaldo, Mary Dulabhan, and Patricia (Felix) Pagan; brothers, Charles (Ruth) Stokes and Rick (Linda) Stokes; sister-in-law, Judy Stokes; grandchildren, Brandon (CJ) Smith and Mariah Smith (Mallory Galbreath), Stacey (Bill) Henline, and Holly Craft.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 11-1 followed by a 1:00 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stewart's Caring Place, 2955 W. Market St Suite R, Fairlawn, OH 44333.
