Betty Jean Tidwell

Betty Jean (Proctor) Tidwell 74 from Mogadore passed away in her home surrounded by family on December 27, 2011. She was born October 28, 1937 in Canton, OH and raised in Kimbolton, OH. She was a member of Springfield Community Baptist Temple. She was a two time cancer survivor of 20 years and anyone who knew Betty, knew she was a fighter. She cherished the times she spent with family and friends. She took great pride in her home, taking care of her beloved husband Max of 36 years and her favorite past time was shopping QVC! Betty Jean was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. We should all find comfort in knowing she is with the Lord. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Eldred and Vivian Proctor; daughter, Sarah Elizabeth; son, Ronald Tidwell; siblings, Vivian, Patty Ann, Eldred, Fredrick, Walter, Mary Ellen, Robert Proctor. Betty Jean is survived by her husband, Max Tidwell of Mogadore; siblings, Sharon King, Sandy Schilling, Marie Hadzima, Rodger Proctor; children, Patty (Norman) Wilson, Richard (Sharon) Eidens, Debbie (Joe) Foss, Connie (Jim) Back, Robert (Debbie) Eidens, Charles Eidens and friend Jim Haban, Dana (Sherry) Eidens, Tammy (Ron) Jeffrey, David Brown, Allen (Kim) Brown, Jim, Michael and Robert Tidwell; 26 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. We love you so much and you will be greatly missed.
Family and friends may call on Friday, December 30 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 31 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Mark O'Donnell officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. Following the burial family and friends are invited back to the church fellowship hall for a luncheon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Baptist Temple.
