Betty Kathryn Jones

Betty Kathryn Jones, 91, entered Heaven on November 5, 2017. She was born in Diana Webster Co., West Virginia on July 7, 1926, daughter of Andrew Jackson and Mae Bruffy. Betty was a lifelong member of Akron Baptist Temple, past President of Roswell Kent PTA and past President of Beverly Park Garden Club. She owned and operated Betty's Hair Fashions for many years and enjoyed spending time at her second home in Sarasota. Betty enjoyed traveling with her beloved husband Everett Wendell Jones throughout their 71 years of marriage and she will be remembered as a beautiful woman who was a hard worker and had an exuberant joy for life.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Everett, and brother, Bob Bruffy.

She will be dearly missed by her sons, Dennis (Sylvia) and Larry Jones; grandson, Matthew; brother, Bill Bruffy; nephew, Pat Bruffy and numerous nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from noon until time of funeral service at 2 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. She will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
