Betty K. Sdono, 84, of Akron, passed away February 3, 2011. She was born October 24, 1926 to the late Joseph and Matilda Criss. Betty loved spending time with her family and visiting Las Vegas and Atlantic City. She will always be remembered as an excellent cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Sdono and son, Joseph John Sdono; She will be deeply missed by her sisters, Kate (Harry) Spellman, Matilda King, and Julia (Dave) Gezzar; brother, Henry (Billie Sue) Criss; daughter-in-law, Kathy Sdono; grandchildren, John (Ann) Sdono, Kimberly (Matt) Egger, Richard Sdono, Joey Janine Sdono (Joe), and Michael (Samantha) Sdono; nine great-grandchildren; and her friends at Presser Towers. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Prayers will be held at 9:15 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home followed by a 10 a.m. funeral mass at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2603 Benton Ave. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
