Betty L. Freed
Betty L. Freed, born October 27, 1927 in Williamsport, PA and lived most of her life in Akron/Portage Lakes, was called home peacefully on March 6, 2013 at the Hospice Care Center.
Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Dorothy Grammas; husband, Paul; brothers, Junior and Robert; sister, Margaret; son, Jimmy Bonner, whom she loved dearly; grandsons, Gary Bonner, Tyson Hatcher (Bond), and Todd Becker; granddaughter, Tammy Becker.
Survived by sons, Gene (Cecilia) Bonner, Gary Becker; daughters, Jeanne Carter (Alan), Bonnie (Bill) Davies, Beverly Miraglia (Rick), and Becky Ralff; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. We will love and miss you! Thanks to Hospice for their wonderful care and her special nurse, Jennifer Duckett.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, March 12, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with a memorial service to follow at 1 p.m.
