Betty C Linger(Adams)

Betty C Linger, 69, of Akron, passed away July 18, 2005, after a couragous battle with cancer. She was born January 9, 1936 in Morganton, GA. Betty spent most of her life in Akron, was employed for over 25 years at Thermo Rite, and loved bowling and playing cards. She enjoyed traveling with her husband of 48 years Dwight to the Mountaineer Park in West Virginia and also spending all her free time with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Nannie Adams, brothers Gene, Charles, and Larry Adams. Betty is survived by her daughter Susan Jenkins of Akron, and sons Ron (Pattie) Linger and Allen (Laurie) Linger both of Akron, her brother Clarence Adams of Morganton, GA and 6 Grandchildren, she was an aunt to many. She is also survived by her good friend of 54 years Donna Cooper. Family and friends may call Thursday from 6-8 PM at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N Canton Rd, where funeral services will be held Friday at 10 AM, with Fr. Sam Ciccolini officiating. Entombment at Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Visiting Nurse Service or the Hospice Care Center in Copley in Bettys name.
