Betty M. McHood
Betty M. McHood, 91, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 29, 2015. She was a lifelong member of the Akron Baptist Temple. She retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber after 45 years of service. Betty enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family. She loved Sunday family dinners.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Icie Nichols; brother, Paul (Tony) Nichols; sister, Elsie (Jack) Oldaker; great-grandson, David Joe Churchill II; grandson in-law, Jason Virgil Thomas. Betty leaves to cherish her memory, son, Larry D. McHood; daughter, Shari L. (John) Kennedy; grandchildren, Dusty Marie (David Lee), Hollie Ann, Dawn Marie (Justin), William H.(Courtney), Michael G., Kyle Jeffrey (Felicia) and Stephanie; 12 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; sister, Audrey Lovelace; and many nieces, and nephews that she loved dearly.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday November 3, 2015 from 7-9pm at Akron Baptist Temple 2324 Manchester Rd. Akron, OH 44314 and funeral service will be held on Wednesday November 4, 2015 at 11am. Pastor Larry Knight officiating. Interment Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Akron Baptist Temple.
