Betty Jane Miljak

Betty Jane Miljak, age 93, of Akron, passed away on February 3, 2025 at Timberland Ridge Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born in Akron, OH on October 29, 1931 to the late Agnar and Elizabeth Johnson. Betty graduated from Central High School.

She found love and was happily married to Wallace Miljak. They spent many long years together before his passing in 1990. 

Betty was a devoted housewife and she spent her time caring for those she loved most. 

She was an avid bingo player and gambler. She also loved cats and dogs. 

Betty is survived by her loving children, Debra (Michael) Rubino and Frank Miljak; grandchildren, Nicholas (Jessica) Rubino and Frank (Dawn) Miljak Jr; and great-grandchildren, Gianna, Lucianna and Ellianna Rubino and Skylar and Logan Miljak.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; three sons, George, Ray and Vince Miljak; and brother, John Johnson.

Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305) on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 10am until 12pm. Funeral services will be held immediately following the visitation. 

Betty will then be laid to rest with her husband and sons at Holy Cross Cemetery (100 E. Waterloo Rd, Akron, OH 44319).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Summit county.
