Betty L. Prindle

Betty L. Prindle, 86, passed away April 20, 2023 with her family by her side. Born in Millville, NJ to Vernon and Genevieve (Simpkins) Scott, she resided in Akron, Ohio all of her adult life. Betty worked in the food industry for over 30 years. Betty was a member of Firestone Park Prime Timers and she enjoyed traveling with family and friends, going back home to the Jersey Shore, playing cards with her friends, celebrating special occasions with her family and making her fudge as well as pigs-in-the-blanket for Christmas Day.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Prindle; sister, Barbara Frank; fiance, Bob Morgan. She will be sadly missed by her children, Pam (Jim) Burkhammer, Terri (Guy) Smith, Jim (Jeanine) Prindle, John (Donna) Prindle; grandchildren, Jennifer (Gary), Kevin (Theresa), Brianne (Bryan), Alana, Curtis (Becca), Rocky (Stacey), Guy (Michall), Marshall (Megan), Melissa (Brad), Johnny; several loving great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Betty's name may be made to American Cancer Society.
