Betty Pearl Richards, age 86 of Akron, Ohio, died on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at her home.
She was born on September 19, 1931 in Cairo, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Oliver and Eunice (nee Rexroad) Cornell.
Betty worked as a clerk for Woolworth for 40 years, retiring in 1993. Betty liked gardening.
Survivors include her four sons, Ralph, Wayne, Randy, and Larry Richards; her eight grandchildren,and four great-grandchildren; her siblings, Mary Morehead, Maxine Love, and Robert Cornell are also surviving.
Other than her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Richards; and her sister, Frieda Richards.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, where Pastor Dan Roland will celebrate Betty's life.
Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
Betty will be laid to rest at Hillside Memorial Park, Akron.
